Nazca guide
How to see the Nazca Lines: flight or viewpoint
The Nazca Lines are why thousands of travelers stop here: huge geoglyphs in the desert (the hummingbird, the monkey, the spider, the astronaut) best seen from the air. There are two ways to see them, depending on your budget and time.
1. The flight (the full experience)
It's the best way to see them. Small planes leave from the Nazca aerodrome and circle the main figures. If you have the budget, it's worth every sol. Two tips: fly early (better weather, less turbulence) and go light on the stomach —which is why we suggest a big breakfast afterwards, not before.
2. The viewpoint (the cheaper, ground option)
On the Pan-American Highway there's a metal observation tower from which you can see a couple of figures (the hands and the tree). It's much cheaper and quicker: ideal if you're passing through or the flight is out of budget.
Plane or ground? Up to you
With money and time, the flight is unbeatable. Driving fast? The viewpoint does the job. Either way, the plan ends just as well: heading down to the main square for a bite and a good coffee.

When you land, we'll be waiting with the best coffee in Nazca. Got another day? See Nazca in 2 days.
